“My
work for The Island of Demons provided an exciting challenge
to realize the author’s concept of three unreal and imagined
protagonists:
Doubt, Discord and Regret as a visual abstract achievement.
My many thoughts and revisits to the story of the legend prompted
me to suggest
that each cover of the book be a different original painting:
an opportunity to try to visually resolve the story’s abstract
location
and its inhabitants . . . 100 times.
I hope my attempts will prove to be as enjoyable and rewarding
for the reader as it was for me to create.
His
work can be seen at the
Moore Gallery, 80 Spadina Avenue, Toronto, Ontario and on line at
